Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry has appointed the Site Selection Committee and has asked to determine the place for the Central University of Orissa(CUO).
Joint Secretary of the HRD Ministry in charge of Univeristies Sunil Kumar is visiting Orissa on June 13 to finalyze the site for the CUO. Kumar is heading the Five-member team will visit Koraput on 14 June and site will be selected, said sources on Wednesday.
The Team included Dr.Renu Batra, Joint Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Prof. A N Rai, Vice Chancellor Mizoram Univeristy.
Madhu Sudan Padhi, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Higher Education department in Government of Orissa is a member in the Committee. Suravi Benarjee, Vice Chancellor of the CUO is in the Committee to finalyze the site.
